ABOUT THE ROLE:

Sonoma Raceway is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Operations Intern to join our team this

summer. The goal of the Operations Internship at Sonoma Raceway is to provide students with

quality, practical experience with event planning, team management, and facility

operations. This position offers an ideal opportunity for college students or recent graduates

interested in pursuing a career in sports event management and/or facility operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Operations Intern will work directly with Sonoma Raceway Operations and Facilities departments.
• Assist the Operations team in pre-event planning (parking, shuttle, traffic operations, etc.)
• Assist with the pre-event facility set-up (camping space marking, paddock and shuttle layouts, etc.)
• Provide support with the scheduling, communicating, and managing the Guest Service Department
• Work with logistics staff to prepare equipment and lunch deliveries during each event
• Help organize, create and distribute event credential boards for track employees
• Additional duties as assigned by the Sonoma Raceway Operations Department

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with long hours during event weekends and possible off-site events
• Positive attitude and the ability to adapt in an ever-changing, collaborative environment
• Self-motivator who is confident, energetic and creative
• Highly organized and detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a four-year College/University or post-graduate program.
• Possess strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, written, and verbal skills and able to

take initiative to reach out to other staff members for information and details regarding assigned projects.
• Must be available May 29-30, June 22-28, July 13-19 and July 24-26.

Compensation: 16.90/ per hour

This is a Seasonal, as needed position.
