To maintain the standards of excellence set up by the Housekeeping Department at Meadowood for providing our guest a memorable experience with the goal of achieving the Meadowood Mission and Vision.
Position Summary:
The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are impeccable clean, properly arranged and fully stocked prior to the arrival of a guest. Turn into housekeeping office all found items with pertinent information; date, name, room number. Additional responsibilities include noting and reporting the condition of guest rooms, vacuum cleaners and surrounding building areas for structural and non-structural details such as furniture, lights and paint, damaged or stained soft goods to guarantee that each room is continuously maintained and in perfect condition.
Major Responsibilities & Work Activities:
Clean and dust guest rooms up to Meadowood Standards and re-stock all bathroom amenities, coasters, wipe clean blow dryer, loofa, all terry, shoe mitt, votive candles, replace dirty glassware with clean ones, nail file, change bed linen on a daily basis, clean balconies, deck furniture making sure they are free of debris and/ or damage. Report to Supervisor if there are dishes in guest rooms to pick up, deficient equipment, slow drains, and re-stock bucket at the end of the day. Ensure that all found items are turned into the housekeeping office immediately before going home. Ensure that all rooms are ready for 4pm check-in.
Safety:
Must have spray bottles with labels at all times and never mix any chemicals. Must wear gloves when cleaning or striping linens. If there are any rooms with bodily fluids please use gloves, a mask, and goggles also please let your Supervisor know about it. safely dispose of cigarette ashes by flushing them down the toilet or placing them in a metal container. Monitor and report safety hazards (e.g. outdoor lighting, unsafe decking, frayed electrical cords, wildlife etc.) to Supervisor and or Housekeeping office. Other task as assigned, including fireplace cleaning as necessary
