Position Summary
The Kitchen Steward supports Vinarosa Resort's commitment to exceptional guest experiences, trust-based relationships, collaborative teamwork, detail-driven hospitality, and results-oriented performance that enhances long-term asset value by maintaining exceptional cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout culinary and service areas. This role is essential to food safety compliance, operational readiness, and guest confidence, working in close partnership with culinary and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and service support areas
- Operate dishwashing and sanitation equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure proper storage and handling of clean wares and equipment
- Support banquet and culinary operations with timely sanitation support
- Follow all sanitation, hygiene, and safety procedures
- Remove waste and recycling in accordance with procedures
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Clean, transport, and store all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans and equipment used in the food and beverage operations
- Ensure the restaurant and banquet kitchens are consistently stocked with the proper amounts of all equipment
- Proper sanitizing and cleaning all kitchen floors, recycling bins and oil bins; maintain the cleanliness of the recycle/trash room at all times
- Assist with removing used kitchen towels and restocking kitchen towels
- Assist food & beverage operation with transporting & retrieving food for event functions
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment
- Ensure that all items are properly sanitized and stored according to established procedures and health code regulations
- Monitor water temperature, detergent levels, and equipment functionality to maintain effective dishwashing operations
- Empty trash bins, dispose of food waste, and maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing, glove usage, and temperature control procedures
- Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
- Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

Required Skills & Qualifications - Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow procedures and direction consistently
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Basic communication skills
- Prior dishwashing/stewarding experience, a plus
- Hotel experience, a plus
Physical & Scheduling Requirements Requires prolonged standing, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
