Major Responsibilities & Work Activities:
- See procedure for entering the guest room. When announcing your presence, substitute "Turndown" for "Housekeeping"
- Remove any guest items from the bed. Set neatly on a chair or in the closet.
- Remove the bedspread, folded neatly, place it on the comforter rack after removing the comforter.
- Put comforter on the foot of the bed in a way that is easy for the guest to pull over him/her.
- Pull back the sheets:
- For a bed sleeping one guest, turn down the sheets on one side only, usually the side near the phone.
- For a bed sleeping two, turn down the sheets on both sides.
- Place the amenity on the pillow. For beds sleeping two, be sure to leave amenity on both pillows.
- Remove and clean ashtrays, replenish matches.
- Remove and clean dirty glasses and plates, and set coffee maker if used.
- Collect any food service trays and dishes:
- Set items neatly outside the door
- Call Room Service at (306) for pick up.
- Empty the trash and clean wastebasket
- Straighten Newspaper and Magazines.
- Remove dirty linen in bathroom. Restock with fresh linen.
- Straighten and wipe down Vanity area
- Straighten and wipe down tub or shower area, dry and polish fixtures.
- Check toilet and facial tissue supply. Replenish if necessary.
- Close blinds or drapes
- Turn on bedside and front door lights
- VERY IMPORTANT:
- Visually scan the guest room, beginning at one point in the room and working your way back to the beginning point. Attend to any task you may have overlooked.
- Leave the room and close the door. Check to be sure it is locked.

Compensation: The starting hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour + tips.
- This is the rate Meadowood Napa Valley reasonably expects to pay. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, and other job-related qualifications. This position is eligible for service charge distributions and gratuities in accordance with company policy. Total compensation varies and is not guaranteed.
