POSITION SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Specialist is key to delivering an exceptional experience for every customer. With keen consultative skills, this role anticipates customer needs, suggests viable alternatives, and presents helpful solutions. This knowledgeable team member is adept in print, signs & graphics, and shipping services offered at the Store. Responsibilities include processing customer orders, coordinating store operations, providing accurate pricing and product recommendations, and ensuring all FedEx Office products and services are highlighted effectively.

  • Support managers and collaborate with team members for smooth store functions.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new Store team members.

Service

  • Engage customers with consultative approaches to understand their unique needs.
  • Provide expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping services, recommending suitable FedEx Office products.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating needs and proactively offering solutions.
  • Resolve customer issues with speed and commitment to satisfaction.
  • Process complex customer orders efficiently using order systems, ensuring accurate pricing.
  • Prepare goods for shipment, including packing, weighing, and labeling parcels.
  • Set up and operate printing and binding equipment using the customers' media.
  • Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized retail environment.

Profit

  • Ensure confidentiality of customer information and manage sensitive documents carefully.
  • Process transactions effectively using Point of Sale (POS) systems, handling cash accurately.
  • Keep printing and shipping equipment clean, stocked, and in optimal working condition.
  • Stay informed on merchandising and ensure an appealing display of products and signage.
  • Proactively identify areas for reducing errors and waste.
  • Complete necessary financial documentation, assisting with reporting as required.
  • Adhere to FedEx Office operational standards and comply with legal and safety policies.

Self-Management

  • Multitask efficiently in a dynamic retail setting.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance personal skills and knowledge.
  • Operate effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all FedEx Office team member standards as stated in the team member handbook.
  • Perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift, with breaks as necessary.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 55 pounds.
  • Consistently bending and twisting at the waist and knees.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and team members at all times.
  • Function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain attention to detail and focus for extended periods.
  • Demonstrate reliability by adhering to scheduled work hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency:
This salary range is an estimated starting point for this role across various locations. Actual pay is determined by experience, market conditions, and factors relevant to the position. Employees may also qualify for additional pay and benefits such as health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $19.70 - $23.17/hr
