GENERAL PURPOSE:

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in securing our store environment, deterring theft and fraud, and ensuring the safety of both customers and associates. This position involves maintaining a visible presence at store entrances and on the sales floor, engaging with customers, and implementing our Company's theft prevention strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Safety & Security: Prioritize safety by actively maintaining a secure store environment, greeting customers, and addressing safety concerns.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide excellent customer service through friendly interactions and recognition.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Store Leadership to understand and implement Loss Prevention best practices.
  • Theft Mitigation: Monitor for suspicious behavior and follow established Company policies for theft responses.
  • Operational Efficiency: Educate associates on loss prevention initiatives and validate proper checkout procedures.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year in retail supervision or related experience preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention or security is a plus; active Security Guard License preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in building relationships and delivering outstanding customer service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the store for extended periods.
  • Able to lift and move items weighing more than 25 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and crouching may be required based on daily business needs.

The base pay range for this role is $18.71 - $19.21, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
