Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated./ppThe warehouse associate is responsible for multiple responsibilities including but are not limited to: accurately filling and scanning of customer orders prior to shipment, operating a forklift vehicle for the purpose of loading material onto trucks for shipment and unloading material and other supplies. Typical unit length is 16. The warehouse associate is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of vehicles and the organization of the shipping warehouse. This role will be working outdoors 50% of time./ppEssential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:/pulliOperates forklift in a safe and efficient manner according to company guidelines./liliInspects and records maintenance on vehicle at the beginning and end of shift./liliUses forklift to move material from warehouse staging location to the trailer for loading./liliUtilizes proper loading techniques to ensure the material is safe, stable, and secure on the trailer./liliChecks trailer for accurate shipment and bill of lading; unloads trailers containing lumber, etc./liliOversees the organization and inventory of the shipping warehouse./liliComplies with company standard operating procedures, safety policies, and OSHA standards./liliOperates a handheld scanner to pick material from dedicated locations in the warehouse./liliEfficiently picks customer orders for shipment ensuring that the order is complete, accurate, and free of damage./liliAppropriately lifts and stacks material on carts to ensure material may be properly wrapped, package units when pulling is completed, prints and places shipping labels on materials./liliAssists with physical inventories as required while maintaining a orderly work area./liliComplies with company standard operating procedures, safety policies, and OSHA standards./liliAttends safety meetings as required./liliOther duties as assigned by supervisor./li/ulpQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
