Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil & Site Development

A leading, 100% employee owned heavy civil and site development contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to own pricing strategy on large, complex projects across the Bay Area.

They've just received major US investment and are building the #1 Heavy Civil team in the state.

Role Overview

The Senior Estimator will lead all estimating and preconstruction efforts on major site development and heavy civil projects, from conceptual budgets through final bids and negotiated contracts. This position is central to winning work and scaling the company's regional footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead estimating for large-scale site development and heavy civil projects including mass earthwork, utilities, grading, drainage, roadways, and infrastructure.
• Oversee quantity takeoffs, cost forecasting, contingency planning, and cash flow projections.
• Evaluate constructability, alternative methods, and market conditions to optimize cost, schedule, and margins.
• Lead bid reviews, client presentations, and contract negotiations with owners, developers, and public agencies.
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing estimating and preconstruction teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, site development, or infrastructure construction.
• Proven success on $10M–$250M+ projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
