Electronics Technician
Join a leading aerospace and defense contractor that designs and manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles. As an Electronics Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the production team by performing essential tasks related to aircraft electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, test, inspect, and repair electrical systems and components.
- Build and repair aircraft wiring and wiring harnesses.
- Perform operational checkout and inspections of aircraft electrical systems.
- Conduct in-progress and follow-up inspections during and after installations.
- Solder electrical and avionics components.
- Troubleshoot aircraft systems discrepancies.
- Operate and maintain tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Assist in building prototypes for initial designs and low-volume builds.
- Participate in field and flight testing, which may require travel.
- Assist other mechanics and technicians as needed.
- Work on semi-routine assignments, following established procedures.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum of 1 2 years of recent hands-on electrical wire bundle manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics.
- Ability to translate engineered designs into build instructions.
- Knowledge and use of wire stripper, crimping hand tools, specialty tools, and testing equipment.
- Familiarity with electronics, including analog and digital hardware.
- Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems.
- Expertise in wiring and soldering.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office proficiency.
- Understanding of aircraft manufacturing safety procedures.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Equivalent of 2 - 4 years of advanced studies beyond high school with emphasis in electronics or soldering preferred.
- Certificate from a trade/technical school is highly desirable.
- Experience in an aircraft manufacturing or aerospace R&D environment preferred.
- Experience with basic analog and digital circuit troubleshooting and repair desired.
- Experience with wiring harnesses, plastics, composites, and printed circuit board manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Work Environment:
Work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM 4:00 PM, although exact start times may vary. Be open to working on Saturdays when needed. The environment is dynamic, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Petaluma, CA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
