Senior Python Developer (100% Remote Outside of Canada)

SalesCloser.ai currently has the position of Senior Python Developer, and we're excited to tell you about it! Salescloser.ai is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a fully remote position, and the successful individual could be based anywhere in the world. You will collaborate with a SalesCloser.ai exceptional global team, building scalable and efficient solutions that power the products and services offered to clients across Canada and the US. In partnership with the Product Development Department, the Senior Python Developer will play a key role in driving innovation, improving system performance, and ensuring the continued success of SalesCloser.ai.

Responsibilities

Write clean, efficient, and scalable code primarily in Python

Build and maintain components for web applications pragmatically, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security

Design and implement robust backend systems and RESTful APIs

Troubleshoot application issues, adeptly debugging and resolving errors to ensure the best user experience

Develop and maintain automated tests to guarantee code quality and system stability

Actively contribute to code reviews and provide insightful technical feedback

Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Specialists, DevOps Engineers, and Front-End Developers across the product lifecycle

Uphold best practices and maintain high standards for engineering and product quality

Improve, monitor, and maintain applications after deployment

Contribute to architectural and technical decisions for large-scale SaaS systems

Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously seek opportunities to optimize code and processes

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years of professional experience with Python, preferably in a SaaS or large-scale web application environment

Hands-on experience with at least one Python framework such as Django or Flask

Solid database experience, preferably with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis

Experience with Elasticsearch and MongoDB is considered a strong asset

Familiarity with JavaScript and at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular

Experience with containerization and version control tools such as Docker and Git, within a Linux environment

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming

A degree or diploma that contributes to the organization or role is considered an asset

Must be very detail-oriented and have a passion for programming

Self-motivated with the ability to establish and maintain solid relationships through a client-first mentality

As part of a diverse team, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Must be technical, analytical, and have the ability to manage complex projects seamlessly

Fluent in English (spoken and written) and able to communicate effectively with ease. Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset

Work Environment

This is a 100% remote position, and the individual could be based anywhere in the world

The individual must be prepared to work standard business hours based on either PST or EST

Due to the nature of this role, we may verify backgrounds, including conducting employment references, criminal records, and credit checks

Once hired, the successful candidate must provide a valid government-issued photo ID, proof of SIN and proof of residential address as part of their onboarding process
