Job Description And Duties

Under the general direction of the Presiding Workers' Compensation Judge and the Supervising Workers' Compensation Consultant, the Workers' Compensation Consultant (WCC) assists parties, whether or not represented by counsel, by providing general public information concerning workers' compensation benefits and procedures.

Will also consider a Workers' Compensation Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Assist parties, including those without counsel, in obtaining general public information about workers' compensation benefits and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Collaborate with the Presiding Workers' Compensation Judge and Supervising Workers' Compensation Consultant on case inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Easily reachable on an employment list or eligible for transfer or reinstatement.
  • Eligible for Staff Services Analyst or Workers' Compensation Assistant list eligibility, meeting the minimum qualifications for both classifications.

Working Conditions

Location: 50 D Street, Room 420, Santa Rosa, CA 95404. 40 hours per week in an office setting. Air‑conditioned high‑rise building with elevator access and natural lighting. Part‑time telework may be offered after formal training with supervisor approval.
