The Supervising District Attorney Investigator plans, organizes, directs, and supervises the activities of a unit engaged in conducting investigations on criminal and/or civil law matters; to conduct the more complex or sensitive investigations; and to act for the Chief District Attorney's Investigator in that person's absence.

Experience:Ten years of current experience as a peace officer pursuant to California Penal Code Section 830.1, which includes criminal investigative experience. Supervisory experience is highly desired.
Education:Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in police science, criminology, public or business administration or closely related field. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.)
License or Certificate:Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Possession of the California Peace Officers Standards and Training Intermediate Certificate or higher.
*Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County. For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.
Special Qualifications:Must be a United States Citizen.
Other Skills:Bilingual skills desirable.
