Oncology Customer Team Leader (District Sales Manager) – Northern California / Hawaii

As an Oncology Customer Team Leader (CTL), you will manage and lead a team of Oncology Sales Representatives/Specialists that engage with customers to uncover and address their needs and educate key stakeholders about our oncology products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize the sales team's performance and help achieve/exceed sales goals and budget targets, and increase access to our oncology products.
  • Hire, lead, and manage oncology sales professionals for an assigned district within the United States.
  • Coach direct reports, oversee training, and complete people management processes for oncology sales professionals.
  • Collaborate with the oncology sales organization, including peer CTLs, Key Account Managers, and alliance partners to ensure a cohesive customer experience and effective sales execution.
  • Execute national sales and brand strategies as directed by the leadership team.
  • Communicate and coordinate with district and cross‑functional teams and share learnings with direct reports and peers.
  • Lead routine district sales meetings (remote and in‑person) to inform and guide the district team.
  • Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency assessments for direct reports.
  • Handle all aspects of the employment process for direct reports in accordance with company policy and HR, including hiring, career development, performance management, or termination.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of sales experience OR a minimum of a high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience, including at least 4 years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
  • Equivalent experience can be professional sales experience, non‑sales work in the healthcare/scientific field (including pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical devices), professional marketing experience, or military experience.
  • Ability to establish relationships and networks within a customer organization.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle.
  • Travel 50–75% of the time.
  • Reside in or within a reasonable distance to the district.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First‑line people management experience leading a field‑based oncology sales team.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high‑influence oncology customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office‑based positions in the U.S. will work a hybrid model consisting of three on‑site days per week (Monday‑Thursday) with Friday designated as a remote‑working day, unless business‑critical tasks require on‑site presence. This model does not apply to field‑based positions, facility‑based, manufacturing‑based, or research‑based positions, positions covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work), or any position for which the company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely.

Salary range: $187,000.00 – $294,400.00. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
