LHH is working with a nonprofit in seeking an Immigration Attorney to join a mission‑driven non‑profit organization specializing in family‑based immigration services. This role involves providing direct legal representation and advocacy for immigrant families while supporting community outreach and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal consultations, prepare applications, and represent clients before EOIR and USCIS.
- Advocate in immigration court hearings, including master and individual hearings.
- Draft motions, briefs, applications, and prepare evidence for cases before Immigration Court, Board of Immigration Appeals, ICE, and USCIS.
- Stay current with immigration law and policy; provide training to staff as needed.
- Participate in outreach activities such as immigration fairs and workshops.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure client‑centered service delivery.
- Respond to RFEs and prepare detailed cover letters for complex cases.
- Uphold organizational policies, ethical guidelines, and best practices in all aspects of service delivery.
Qualifications and Prior Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in immigration law, with a focus on family‑based immigration.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
- Strong legal writing and advocacy skills.
- Commitment to serving immigrant communities and supporting the mission of a non‑profit organization.
