Today, our portfolio features some of North America's most revered wineries, including Decoy, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, Canvasback, Calera, Kosta Browne, Greenwing and Postmark.Our passionate and dedicated cellar team at Kosta Browne is looking for a Cellar Worker II to join the team. This position will be a key member of a small, unified wine production team. This role will perform all cellar duties as assigned by and under the supervision of the Assistant Winemaker and assist with cellar organization, cleanliness, and communication in all phases of the wine production process.What we will ask you to do:* Follow appropriate SOPs and winemaking instructions; immediately report any errors or winemaking concerns, such as tank temperature alarms or odd smelling barrels.* Read, understand, and complete written work orders and shipping paperwork.* Understand winery equipment, pump types and appropriate usage* Inspect and sanitize tanks, barrels, pumps, hoses, fittings, and other winery equipment.* Maintain quality of wine in barrel by cleaning and applying ozone to empty barrels, carefully racking wine out of barrel, filling barrels, topping, and scanning full barrels.* Follow safety rules at all times; includes the use of personal protective equipment.What you will need:* 4 years minimum cellar experience required, including forklift experience.* Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills.* Intermediate reading, writing, and math skills.* Must have intermediate English communication skills, both written and verbal.* Must be a team player, be open to suggestions, and able to collaborate with others, with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.* Dependability, independence, and initiative.What we will provide:* Health benefits for you and your family, including medical/dental/vision (with a competitively priced employee contribution to premium), and disability, life, & pet insurance.* Paid time off and 11 paid holidays.* A 401(k) plan where we invest an amount equal to 10% of your wages in your retirement account, at no cost to you, subject to management discretion and vesting.* A diverse team of coworkers that care about each other in a fun, exciting work environment.* A company that promotes from within, provides great training and a generous tuition reimbursement program* The hourly pay range for this position is $19.25 - $24.00.
