The Playbook General Manager is the strategic and operational leader of the sports bar and restaurant, responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while driving profitability and maintaining brand standards. This role oversees all aspects of daily front-of-house operations, staff management, financial performance, and guest relations.
Located in Sonoma County, Graton Resort & Casino has a commanding presence among the rolling hills of Northern California s wine country. Owned and operated by the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, Graton Resort & Casino opened in November 2013 with a 300,000+ sq ft property that includes over 136 table games, 3,100 slot machines, and the greater Bay Area s most exciting poker room. In 2016, Graton Resort & Casino opened a hotel with 200 premium rooms, including luxury suites, a fitness center, a world-class Spa & Salon, a resort-style pool, and a 20,000 sq ft event center. The property currently operates four sit-down restaurants, including 630 Park Steakhouse, Bistro 101, Tony s of North Beach, and Boathouse Asian Eatery. Graton Resort & Casino is currently undergoing construction to become the second-largest casino resort in California. The expansion will include two additional restaurants, which include a 28,000 sq ft rooftop dining venue with indoor and outdoor seating, and over 140,000 additional sq ft of casino space, with nearly 3,000 additional slot machines. The expansion also includes a new hotel wing with over 200 additional rooms and an expanded swimming pool area. In addition, Graton Resort & Casino will build a live-entertainment theater with seating capacity of 3,500. To accommodate
the additional Guests, a state-of-the-art five-story parking garage with over 100 EV charging stations is being built as well. The General Manager sets the tone for service excellence, cultivates a culture of hospitality and professionalism, and ensures that every detail reflects the bar's commitment to quality. This position requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of guest service, strong business acumen, and the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing team.
In addition to core operational responsibilities, the General Manager plays a critical role in sports programming and event planning. They are responsible for curating a comprehensive calendar of sporting events including UFC, NFL, Boxing, NBA, NHL, NCAA, Soccer, and marquee events like the Kentucky Derby and ensuring all are properly broadcasted throughout the venue. The GM also develops and executes themed promotions, viewing parties, and marketing initiatives that drive visitation and enhance the bar's reputation as a premier destination for sports fans.
