Description

Grab N' Grow, a long-standing local supplier of premium soils, composts, and landscape materials, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for customers. In this role, the Customer Service Representative will provide friendly and helpful customer service, product guidance, dispatch coordination, and help with regulatory recordkeeping. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains accuracy under pressure, and delivers clear, friendly, and professional support to customers and co-workers. They are dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable balancing multiple tasks while staying calm and organized. A strong communicator who learns quickly and takes ownership of their work will excel here. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers; answer phone and email inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide accurate product and pricing information.
  • Process payments, charge accounts, and POS transactions accurately.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with Production via CB or hand-held radio.
  • Demonstrate patience and professionalism, including during challenging interactions.
  • Verify correct truck loading / dumping and ensure compliance with company requirements and standards.
  • Inspect inbound material to determine acceptance or rejection per company practices.
  • Ensure safe, smooth traffic flow for customers loading or dumping.
  • Maintain customer accounts, transaction records, logs, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Coordinate/dispatch trucking for customer deliveries and import orders.
  • Perform opening and closing office duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized office and showroom displays.
  • Participate in required trainings and meetings.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Mix of office and outdoor work with moderate noise.
  • Regular sitting, standing, walking; frequent reaching, handling, talking, hearing, reading.
  • Occasional stooping, crawling, crouching, kneeling; ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb rolling staircases and fixed stairs.
  • Must wear required PPE in designated areas.
Work Schedule

Full-time (40+ hours/week), non-exempt in-person role.
  • Initial training schedule could include any days Monday - Friday: 6:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday (required): 7:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
  • Final schedule may shift to having Mondays and Fridays off, as weekend work will be mandatory.
Qualifications

Required
  • Strong math, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and customer inquiries simultaneously.
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work in a busy environment.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. ( No visa sponsorship available ).
  • No relocation, housing, mileage, or vehicle assistance is provided. Candidates must live within commuting distance or relocate at their own expense.
Preferred
  • 1+ year experience as a Cashier / Sales Associate, Weighmaster, or Truck Scale Operator.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).


Salary Description

$22 - $25/hour
