JOB TITLE: Valet Attendant

STATUS: Full-time, Part-time or On-Call Permanent

FLSA: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Valet Shift Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

WORKING HOURS: This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to be available to work to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment.

SUMMARY: The Valet Attendant assures a superior guest experience for all patrons utilizing the valet parking services. Parks and retrieves guest vehicles. Valet team members can perform Guest Services Representative, Bus Coordinator, and Health Assessment Assistant responsibilities as necessary and assigned by management to facilitate the greeting, departure, ingress and egress of any casino guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Parks and retrieves guest vehicles

2. Accurately records condition of guest vehicle and issues claim ticket to guest

3. Provides a positive experience for all guests

4. Screening of all employees prior to their shift at River Rock Casino as required.

5. Screening of all patrons prior to entering River Rock Casino as required.

6. Performs general Guest Services duties assigned.

7. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same.

8. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.

9. Provides every effort to protect the assets of River Rock Casino

10. Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.

2. Must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmissions.

3. Must have one year minimum driving experience.

4. Prior customer service and/or valet experience preferred.

5. Strong guest service skills and initiative are required.

6. Must be highly motivated, energetic and quality oriented.

7. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team; River Rock Casino is considered a Team oriented environment.

EDUCATION:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent GED preferred (Must receive a GED within 6 months of hire date).

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

2. Excellent oral communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position.

3. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

1. Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.

2. Must be able to obtain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Must be able stand and run for extended periods of time.

2. Must be able to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

3. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

4. Must present a professional appearance at all times.

1. This is a fast paced, highly diverse work environment, and the position requires the ability to remain flexible and get along with all personality types.

2. Must be able to manage a number of priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.

3. Must be able to respond calmly to customer concerns and questions.

4. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
