Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction.
  • Be punctual and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
  • Assist the dentist and hygienist during procedures by anticipating their needs.
  • Take, develop, and mount high-quality radiographs.
  • Review patient charts, document health histories, and transcribe notes during exams.
  • Follow safety protocols by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and work areas prior to patient appointments.
  • Maintain patient flow and schedule efficiency through accurate and timely procedures.
  • Educate patients on procedures and address their inquiries.
  • Work collaboratively with all team members to enhance patient experiences.
  • Assist in managing patient scheduling and tracking lab cases to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Monitor dental supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Participate actively in promoting dental services and products.
  • Complete assigned checklists and attend brief team meetings to optimize daily workflow.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Follow OSHA and Blood-borne Pathogens safety policies.
  • Fulfill ongoing training requirements as mandated.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current radiography certification is necessary.
  • Dental Assistant certification as required by state regulations or willingness to obtain one.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification preferred.
  • Certification for monitoring Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia preferred.
  • Annual training in OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience providing patient care in a professional setting is preferred.
  • Positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Professionalism and effective communication, both verbal and written, are crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and remain composed in fast-paced situations.
  • Proficient with computers and adaptable to new software as necessary.

Work Environment and Conditions:
