Position Summary:
The Slot Utility Technician assists in preventive maintenance of all slot machines and related equipment. Assists with slot moves, installations, conversions, and removals. Assists with daily projects and maintenance on slot floor when necessary. Address repairs from generated/assigned reports.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Be involved in all aspects of machine conversions and relocations, including signage.
3. Be familiar and compliant with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment used within the department to follow all safety protocols.
4. Performs routine and advanced slot maintenance, including, but not limited to working on the casino floor, responding to computer generated work orders, and immediate action work orders.
5. Attends regular mechanic maintenance meetings and share knowledge, work and repair methods with other Team Members and management.
6. Follows all Key and Lock policies.
7. Establish thorough familiarity with all test equipment and support equipment, including, but not limited to JCM Tool Suite, signs, progressive/media hardware, and related equipment.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gaming devices.
9. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of completed work.
10. Communicate effectively with guests in a friendly and positive manner.
11. Aware of all upcoming events and promotions.
12. Repair/troubleshooting of player tracking components.
13. Respond to calls from Slot Team Members and provide technical assistance timely.
14. Pass Graton Slot Technician Certification if the goal is to become a Slot Technician.
15. Other job-related duties, as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. Have basic math skills.
3. Be able to communicate, understand, read, and write in English.
4. Maintain a positive and effective working relationship with teammates and guests.
5. Be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
6. Must be at least 21 years of age.
7. Must have a valid California Driver's License in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Basic knowledge and experience with Hand Tools.
2. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access).
3. Be able to follow instructions and understand simple and complex Manufacturer Manuals.
4. Previous experience of repair/troubleshooting of computer/technical/electrical/mechanical equipment.
5. Previous casino experience in Slots or Drop/Count departments.
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to move up to 75 pounds with or without assistance, and up to 300+ pounds with mechanical assistance.
2. Ability to hear radio transmissions and communicate clearly on a radio.
3. Have the manual dexterity necessary to operate small and large hand tools.
4. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non- sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
