Job Title: Newsletter Designer/Writer/Editor
Purpose: Write, edit and design our monthly online newsletter, about 250-300 words plus pictures.
Location: Remote with occasional Zoom meetings, occasional attendance at our workshops
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, write and layout content
- Research preparedness topics for seniors
- Interview workshop participants for content
- Choose photos
Time Commitment and Frequency
6 to 8 hours per month at first, then 2-3 hours per month
Qualifications:
- Clear writing skills
- Basic design skills (in Word or Google Docs and Bloomerang, our email blast system)
- A passion for emergency preparedness tips, especially for seniors
Reports to:
Director of Programs
Support Provided:
- Access to our workshops to interview participants
- Access to our photo database
