Housekeeping Rooms Controller

Description:

SALARY RANGE: $22.00-$23.00 per hour. The Housekeeping Rooms Controller is responsible for the maintaining and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department with regard to room allocation, changes, and distribution.

Essential Functions

  • Must adhere to the company's Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
  • Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
  • Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Assign rooms to the Housekeepers ad be responsible for “opening” the house and “close” the house when needed.
  • Monitor rooms in queue and the timing of the release.
  • Monitor VIP arrivals and ensure rooms are inspected and as per the resorts' standards and expectations.
  • Continuously communicate with Front Office regarding rooms moves, out of order rooms and any specific requests.
  • Pull the reports from HMS
  • Handle Housekeeping guests requests and ensure they are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Manager problem resolution and follow the complaint handling process as the per resorts' standards.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Two or three years of progressive experience in a resort or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
Working Conditions and Schedule
  • Long hours are sometimes required.
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Sitting/standing/walking for extended periods of time
  • May require bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Requires manual coordination to operate computer and other business equipment.
  • The role requires sitting at the desk in front of the computer for an extended period of time.
  • This role requires driving a golf cart.
