Local Market Promotions Coordinator || Chico Cluster

The Local Market Promotion Coordinator ("PC"), under the supervision of the Chico Cluster Market Manager ("MM"), supports the Promotions, Programming, and Sales Departments in planning, coordinating, and executing events and promotions. The PC is the day‑to‑day lead for logistical tasks and execution of cluster promotional activities, including internal communications, event setup/takedown, resource management, promotion fulfillment, and file maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Programming Department initiatives for the development of audience relationships.
• Sales Department revenue‑generating or revenue‑related marketing relationships.
• Regional or Market (Cluster level) revenue‑generating on‑site or on‑line events.
• Plan, support, and execute cluster and station promotions. The term "promotion" broadly encompasses physically staged events, personality appearances, listener engagement, marketing outreach, business‑to‑business relationships, broadcasts, and internet‑based media initiatives.

Daily and Weekly Activities

• Scheduling on‑air and on‑site personnel for remote broadcasts and events.
• Serve as the primary Appearance Promotion Assistant and schedule other PAs as needed.
• Lead on‑site set‑up for station remotes, live broadcasts, and appearances Monday‑Friday.
• Update and distribute the Cluster Promotion Calendar to staff.
• Prepare for and attend weekly Cluster promotion meetings and maintain the vCreative database.
• Prepare for and attend Cluster Project meetings and, if requested, weekly individual station programming meetings.
• Communicate daily with the Cluster MM and Operations Manager regarding objectives and progress.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of event and promotion budget planners as directed by the MM.
• Lead execution and quality control of appearance set‑up, production, and broadcast materials.
• Maintain station vehicles and all promotion‑related equipment, including remote systems and visibility tools.
• Assist with social media and website updates of sales promotions as directed.
• Support prize redemption for the OM and Station Program Directors.
• Help organize, update, and maintain contest archives and customer‑service records.
• Fill in for the reception office post and answer phones.
• Manage Public Service Announcement (PSA) customer service and execution, including on‑air scheduling and community calendar coordination.
• Work with academic program‑credit interns as permitted by Cluster guidelines.
• Perform any other assignments reasonably assigned by the MM, OM, or SVP.

Additional Requirements and Responsibilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Outlook) and ability to learn other software such as vPromotion, Adobe Audition, Specialty Data Systems, and any company‑licensed software.
• Valid driver's license and insurance meeting company minimum coverage.
• Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs. of remote and appearance equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively with colleagues.
• Strong writing and communication skills, including remote‑meeting (Zoom) and online presentations.
• Attention to detail and reliability.
• Presentable appearance.
• Ability to set up tents, banners, signs, and electronics as trained.
• Available for events scheduled seasonally on evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
• Proficiency in social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, "X", and TikTok.

The immediate supervisor is the Chico Cluster MM. Close coordination is expected with all company personnel, especially the Cluster MMs, OMs, PDs, PAs, engineering, and business office staff.
