How You'll Contribute...
• Collaborate closely with a team of talented developers to migrate and rebuild substantial, data-intensive websites within WordPress using the cutting-edge Roots.io 's Sage framework.
• Utilize your expertise in MySQL to advance querying, manipulate data at scale, and optimize data processing.
• Take ownership of all engineering efforts for a portfolio of high-traffic content websites, leading the way in prototyping, building, testing, and shipping end-to-end applications using PHP, JavaScript, and SCSS.
• Showcase your strong communication skills and ability to work cohesively within a team while being confident and effective when working independently.
• Lead the charge in identifying problems and proactively generating innovative solutions.
• Mentor and guide software engineers through peer coding and code reviews, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Collaborate closely with design and product management teams to conceptualize and bring to life exciting new product features from the ground up.
What We're Looking For...
• 6+ years of hands-on experience developing productionized websites, with supporting links showcasing your achievements.
• Demonstrated success in a senior developer role within a team environment, displaying the ability to build web applications from scratch and drive them to successful deployment.
• Strong foresight and the ability to anticipate potential threats that may compromise code durability, taking proactive and preventative measures to ensure robustness.
• A passion for independent problem-solving and a relentless drive to innovate and overcome challenges.
• A commitment to excellence in every aspect of your work, from process refinement to delivering outstanding support and results.
• A deep curiosity for technology, always seeking to learn and explore new tools and techniques that align with business goals.
• Proven expertise in PHP, JavaScript, NPM, Git, MySQL, and jSON: API.
• Proficiency in Webpack, HTML, SCSS, ES6 JavaScript, custom Vanilla JS, and jQuery libraries.
• Experience with WordPress and Advanced Custom Fields, enhancing your ability to work effectively within the platform.
Bonus Points...
• Knowledge of on-page SEO techniques, further optimizing our web properties for visibility and performance.
• Familiarity with Git and Jenkins, streamlining our development and deployment processes.
• Experience with SQL databases, enriching your understanding of data management and optimization.
