We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Cafe Manager to lead the team at our bustling cafe located in San Jose!

Founded in 2009, Smashing Dishes/ Tony Caters is a flourishing and highly respected off-site catering company that produces extraordinary events and exceptional food service across the Bay Area. We also have two additional cafes located inside the Tech Interactive Museum in downtown San Jose and at the historic Winchester Mystery House.

As the Cafe Manager, you'll lead the charge in ensuring smooth day-to-day cafe operations, all while fostering a safe, vibrant, and uplifting workplace for our exceptional staff. We're seeking a dynamic individual who thrives in high-energy environments, with excellent communication skills - bridging the gap between management, cafe staff and customers, while maintaining our strong relationship with our partners at the café. Your boundless enthusiasm and results-driven focus will be your superpower as you guide our team to success in this exciting role. Hourly rate for this position is $30-$40 per hour

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSABILITES

• Champion a profitable and guest-centric environment where every visitor feels welcome
• Lead and motivate our FOH and BOH cafe team to reach new heights in service excellence and efficiency
• Foster a strong partnership with our cafe colleagues to create seamless experiences for our guests
• Ensure consistency of products offered for sale
• Maintain safe and sanitary workspaces
• Order supplies in a timely manner while minimizing product waste
• Work collaboratively with Smashing Dishes/ Tony Caters extended management team to develop and adopt systems and procedures to streamline overall cafe operations

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous cafe management experience a must
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Cash handling experience
• Must be able to work continuously while standing for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift, pull and push materials/products to complete assigned job tasks
• Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
