Sr. Global Logistics Specialist

• $70,000 to $80,000 + bonus + corporate benefits

A leading global Ecommerce Retailer is now looking to hire a New Sr. Global Logistics Specialist for their successful global logistics team. This position has been created due to ongoing impressive demand. This position plays an important in role in coordinating with logistics carriers to ensure the flow and movement of product are delivered timely and efficiently. The role will manage and grow the carrier portfolio by developing delivery programs primarily in the US, and other international countries (if assigned).

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage the performance of 5-10 key 3 rd party Transportation Carriers
• Develop faster and better shipping solutions for customers
• Serve as subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of market, logistics-related regulations and policies, clearance procedures, etc. for assigned carriers
• Develop new, progressive, and creative delivery programs/products throughout the assigned markets.
• Monitor freight expenses for assigned lanes and review invoices, reporting any changes or billing issues with the department management team and Accounting Department
• Review contracts, focusing on commercial terms, and collaborate with the legal team and other stakeholders to drive the review process
• Responsible for trouble-shooting customs and any logistics related issues

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 3+yrs experience in Logistics and Transportation
• Experience with US parcel delivery companies such as UPS, Fedex, regional carriers.
• Bachelor's degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
• Experience making data-driven decisions to maximize profitability
