Manager Risk Management

The Manager Risk Management - Quality Assurance and Risk Management at Providence Healdsburg Hospital in Healdsburg, CA. This position is Full time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. The Manager of Risk Management is responsible for supporting the activities that assess, measure, and plan to reduce risk, injury, and loss, which include coordinating insurance programs with the Health System Risk & Insurance Department. The Manager of Risk Management is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and effective functioning of PSJH PVH and HH risk management activities. The Manager of Risk Management is responsible for the coordination of risk management actions to reduce incidence and magnitude of damage claims made against the institutions. The Manager of Risk Management is responsible for supporting actions required for risk identification, collection of risk data, analysis and reporting. The Manager of Risk Management oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, maintenance and adherence to the organization's policies and procedures covered in privacy of, and acts to protect patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws. This position requires the Manager of Risk Management to investigate patient care issues. Successful outcomes to this position are based on facilitating and maintaining strong, positive, mature, and collaborative working relationships with all departments, the Director of Quality, Excellence, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Medical Staff. The Manager of Risk Management works independently exercising independent judgment.

Required qualifications:

  • Certification by American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) within 2 years of hire.
  • 5 years of Experience in hospital setting demonstrating increasing responsibility in leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of direct Risk Management experience in an Acute Care Hospital.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
