Job Summary Exempt: No In accordance with the Medical Board of California, works under general supervision of the clinic physicians supported by the clinic nursing supervisor, clinic manager, clinic mid-levels and RN, in a controlled outpatient care area and performs a variety of duties. Standards of Behavior Line of Responsibility and Authority LINE OF AUTHORITY: Medical Assistant (Outpatient) - Clinic Medical Director---Clinic Supervisor Licenses and Certifications Professionalism and Self-Development Education and Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Clinic/medical office experience preferred EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or GED preferred LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Current CPR Certification LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Current Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant certification, or equivalent in training and work experience LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Phlebotomy certification preferred QUALIFICATIONS: Basic medical terminology preferred. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will occasionally lift boxes and/or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
