• Prepare tissue specimens through fixation, embedding, microtomy, and staining (H&E and special stains)
• Operate and maintain histology equipment (microtomes, tissue processors, stainers)
• Ensure specimen integrity and proper labeling throughout the histology process
• Perform routine and special stains as requested by pathologists
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the LIS
• Monitor quality control and participate in quality assurance programs
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and infection control standards
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining supply inventory
  
  

Gross Pay (weekly): $2200.0

Taxable Pay (weekly): 680.0

Non-taxable Pay (weekly): 1520.0

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue specimens through fixation, embedding, microtomy, and staining (H&E and special stains)

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or related field
• Certification as HT(ASCP) required
• Knowledge of histologic techniques and lab safety protocols
• Strong organizational and time management skills
