Overview


This role's primary responsibility is finance business support for the GMP manufacturing and supply chain functions. As a new key leadership position within finance, this role is charged with developing efficient and effective financial planning and analysis business support services for the functions that this role supports. This role will also be a key leader in the company's principal governance forums, such as S&OP, Pipeline, and Client. This is a highly visible and transformation driving role within finance.


Responsibilities



  • Provides the finance partnership to the chief operating officer's organization, including manufacturing, global supply chain, as well as quality function.

  • Deliver all FP&A support, including forward-looking financial projections (forecasts and budgets) and long-range plans in partnership with business leaders; continuously challenging and driving performance improvement.

  • Provide insightful performance reporting and analytics to operation's leadership with a forward-looking lens to ensure delivery of the function's commitments.

  • Collaborate with operation's leadership and accounting team to manage projects, identify inefficiencies, deliver on improvements, and lead development of complex analysis.

  • Establish plan to build effective and efficient finance support model.

  • Present to senior leadership team and board of directors.

  • Key finance leader in the company's S&OP process, supporting operations to deliver on customer demand.

  • Support R&D pipeline project and business development evaluations.

  • Oversight for an efficient and effective standard setting process.

  • Leader - internal collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

  • Other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications



  • Broad understanding of many performance indicators and metrics (both financial and operational) that determine the success of manufacturing operations.

  • Ability to think analytically, apply diagnostic techniques and provide in-depth analysis and recommendations.

  • Skilled in oral and written communication skills with the experience, ability, and desire to present to senior leadership.

  • Promote a work environment that challenges the status quo and leads and adapts to change while managing ambiguity.

  • Top candidates will have a strong working knowledge of continuous improvement programs and core concepts within the Toyota Production System ( Lean ) or Client's quality program ( Six Sigma ).


Education and Experience



  • University Degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA Preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in an FP&A partnership role supporting manufacturing operations leadership in the pharmaceutical industry.
