Our Bay Area offices in California are seeking a Special Inspector to join our growing team. We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic team and building their career in construction inspection and materials testing.

Responsibilities

Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.

Conduct routine laboratory tests on soils and concrete, including compaction curves and concrete compressive strength tests.

Interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects, prepare daily reports and data sheets, and may be called upon to perform various tasks to meet our client project goals.

Qualifications

Strong initiative and the ability to perform under independent supervision.

Must have a valid drivers license, a clean driving record, and own a vehicle. Must be willing to travel throughout the Bay Area of California.

Must be able to use a computer with general knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Minimum Certifications

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I


• Radiation Safety & Nuclear Density Gauge Operation Training


• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector


• ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector

Additional Certifications Considered

• ICC Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector


• ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector


• ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector


• ICC Spray Applied Fireproofing Special Inspector


• ICC Soils Special Inspector


• AWS Certified Welding Inspector


• NDT Level II in UT, MT, PT


• TWIC card

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Expected salary range: $34.73 - $57.96 per hour (in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law). Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
