Overview

Experienced Family Law Attorney. Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! MUST be able to do in-person court appearances. We offer a flexible hybrid position, with some office time required.


Responsibilities



  • Prepare and file legal documents for prenuptial agreements, divorces, alimony, child support and child custody, and related real estate matters.

  • Communicate effectively and often with clients, with an emphasis on efficiently progressing cases along.

  • Keep client files properly organized and up to date.

  • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings.

  • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process.

  • Assist clients by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, and strategizing a proper course of action.

  • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed, including in-person appearances.

  • Address related issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence within the scope of family law.


Qualifications



  • Member in good standing and actively involved with the American Bar Association (ABA).

  • At least 3 years of experience working on family law issues.

  • Bachelors degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree are required.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, especially in high-stress, emotionally charged situations.


Compensation


$140,000 - $160,000 per year plus bonus
