Overview

Actalent is hiring for a Laboratory Technician in Santa Rosa!

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures.
• Correctly identify analyzed samples and verify the accuracy of sequence for each batch.
• Process acquired instrument data and generate appropriate reports.
• Conduct the first review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS analytical data according to each assay SOP.
• Transcribe or upload results to the Laboratory Information System for final review and certification.
• Maintain proper and adequate Chain of Custody batch documentation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and promptly escalate emerging challenges.
• Maintain and promote a safe and healthful environment for self and co-workers.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience working in an analytical lab.
• Ability to work safely with biological specimens, chemicals, equipment, and instruments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous lab experience is preferred.

Work Environment

The position is on the 3rd shift, requiring the ability to work with biological specimens, chemicals, and laboratory equipment in a safe and responsible manner. The role involves adhering to a professional dress code and maintaining a healthful environment for all team members. Monday - Friday schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
