Job Description: Civil Engineer
Overview of the Position: ECOMPEX, Inc., a premiere Government Contract (Gov-Con) service provider, is seeking a Civil Engineer to provide supportive services for our government client. This position is on-site.
The ECOMPEX career position supports the following:
- Prepare design documents and scopes of work for Design/Build services, renovation, restoration, and construction projects, ensuring compliance with diverse climatic and environmental conditions.
- Conduct site investigations to gather essential data for new or renovation work.
- Collaborate with site contacts and multi-discipline design teams, facilitating conceptual design meetings and providing support for project documentation functions.
- Review and provide insightful comments on submittals, requests for information, and work as submitted by construction contractors.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project sites and propose appropriate solutions.
- Assist in budgeting and scheduling for projects.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a Tier 1 government background investigation.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or registered professional civil or structural engineer in a state, District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
- Extensive design experience in Civil/Structural engineering, including preparing plans, writing specifications, and performing structural calculations.
- Knowledge of engineering design principles for waterfront facilities, such as piers, floating docks, boathouses, bulkheads, and wave barriers.
