Location: Fremont, CA (Onsite)

The compensation for this role ranges from $25/hr to $40/hr on W2.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join our team, focusing on the hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of our cutting-edge production systems. This important role requires collaboration with engineers and fellow technicians to ensure that our machines meet the highest standards of quality and performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with assembly and testing processes, and a passionate commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble intricate mechanical and electromechanical systems following detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Conduct functional testing of assembled systems, focusing on data collection and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and test equipment.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings with precision.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and prioritize safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to enhance assembly and testing processes.
  • Document assembly and testing outcomes meticulously.
  • Identify, report, and help resolve any quality issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Foster a cooperative and positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or a related field, with a focus on machine assembly and testing.
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a dedicated commitment to high-quality work.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis is a plus.
