Position Overview
NeilMed Pharmaceuticals is seeking a tenacious and assertive Senior Counsel to join our dynamic in-house legal team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will provide strategic legal guidance and practical support across all aspects of our business, with a strong emphasis on intellectual property management and advertising law. The ideal candidate will possess a strong demeanor and a hard-charging attitude, ready to advocate for the company's interests, uphold our values, and drive results. You will thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, fully committed to navigating a wide range of legal challenges while ensuring that every action aligns with company objectives. A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset is essential, enabling you to tackle issues head-on and enforce compliance with unwavering determination.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Developing and implementing policies for functional departments to comply with
· Reviewing marketing practices and materials to ensure compliance with FDA, FTC, and other promotional laws
· Assessing and challenging competitors for IP infringement, misleading advertising and unfair competition
· Drafting and reviewing submissions to the FDA, FTC and other regulatory bodies
· Creating templates, drafting and reviewing a wide variety of contracts, including distribution agreements, supply agreements, acquisition agreements and others
· Submitting and responding to cease-and-desist letters and other pre-litigation matters
· Support the protection of NeilMed's intellectual property, including trademarks, patents, and trade secrets.
· Assisting General Counsel with other legal matters as needed
Skills and Qualifications
On-Site Commitment
Candidates must work on-site at HQ in Santa Rosa, CA or in regional office spaces provided specifically for you, in a location conveniently near you. Candidates throughout California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan will be considered. They will be required to be on-site at one of the spaces 45 hours/week; off-site work is not expected.
