Are you a Project Management Institute (PMI)-certified professional looking to make a significant impact in the food industry? We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager with at least 2 years of PMO experience and a passion for industrial processes to lead the development of traditional baked foods. If you have expert skills in Smartsheet and Asana and thrive in a dynamic environment, this role is for you.

This is a full-time onsite position at our headquarters in South San Francisco.

Your Role:

  • Lead comprehensive project lifecycles for developing and launching traditional baked food products, from creative ideation to industrialization.
  • Work closely with Product Development to convert innovative recipes into scalable manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with Operations to synchronize project plans with manufacturing possibilities, ensuring top-quality production aligned with food industry standards.
  • Utilize Smartsheet or Asana for creating and updating project schedules, budgets, and tracking progress to guarantee timely project completions.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Operations, Marketing, and Quality Assurance, fostering alignment for successful project execution.
  • Monitor project milestones and address risks proactively to keep projects on course, especially during the industrialization phase.
  • Facilitate transparent communication among all stakeholders, providing consistent updates on project trajectories and outcomes.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with food safety regulations and industry standards pertinent to baked goods.
  • Apply your passion for industrial processes to optimize production workflows, enhancing the scalability of our products.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives in project management practices to support efficient industrialization of traditional baked foods.

About You:

  • Certification: You are a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through PMI.
  • Experience: You have a minimum of 2 years as a Project Management Officer (PMO), preferably in consumer goods product development.
  • Technical Skills: You possess advanced knowledge of Smartsheet and Asana for effective project planning and tracking.
  • Industrial Interest: You demonstrate a strong interest in industrial processes, especially in food manufacturing and scaling production.
  • Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of product development and industrialization phases, including formulation, packaging, and regulatory requirements for foods such as croissants and brioches.
  • Collaboration: You can seamlessly work with Product Development and Operations teams to ensure effective industrialization while preserving product integrity.
  • Soft Skills: You possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, adept at managing diverse teams and engaging stakeholders.
  • Education: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Food Science, or a related area; an advanced degree is a plus.
