Responsibilities

Digital HW Architect and Designer

As a digital architect and designer, you will join a high-performance R&D team primarily based in Santa Rosa, CA, collaborating closely with global teams. Our team is a key part of Keysight's central research and development organization - Keysight Laboratories. We focus on creating, validating, and implementing technology involving high-performance digital baseband, next-generation ASICs, analog and digital phase-lock-loop structures, and microwave/mm-wave solutions. Your focus will be on digital architectures and designs, including timing and synchronization for complex solutions.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant job experience or education beyond a bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in driving architectures for digital hardware solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-organizational teams
  • Proficiency in PCIe and other common digital bus standards
  • Familiarity with modular systems (such as PXIe)
  • Knowledge of techniques for time and phase alignment in digital systems
  • Expertise in hardware circuit board design of digital assemblies, including FPGAs and DRAM
  • Self-motivated, quick learner with excellent analytical skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and eagerness to push technical boundaries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills

  • Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment
  • Familiarity with common computer-on-module standards
  • Knowledge of signal integrity simulation and measurement tools
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
  • Strong understanding of FPGA techniques for clock phase rotation and time alignment of data streams
  • Expertise in techniques for time synchronization and phase alignment across multiple instruments
  • Familiarity with the latest FPGA tool flows and design methodologies

California Pay Range: MIN $134,950 - MID $179,930 - MAX $224,920 annually. Salary is based on experience, education, and skills. Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of this range. Pay ranges vary by region for other locations.

This role is eligible for Keysight's Results Bonus Program.
