Job Description:

Insight global is looking for an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support a pediatrics clinic in Vista, CA. This person must have experience working as a patient care coordinator, medical receptionist, or held an equivalent title. The client is seeking a dynamic candidate who excels at multitasking, brings high energy, and demonstrates a friendly and compassionate demeanor towards patients. During the week, this individual will work M-F from 8-5 for Pediatrics, but at times may be asked to assist with Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Responsibilities are, but are not limited to, patient check in, patient scheduling, answering phones, answering questions, getting patient signatures, and other receptionist work. This practice is currently utilizing EPIC EMR system.

Day to Day:

  • Greet and check in patients for pediatric appointments, with flexibility to assist family practice and internal medicine departments.
  • Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Answer incoming calls, including those from the answering service, and respond to patient inquiries or route messages appropriately.
  • Register new and returning patients, ensuring accurate and complete demographic and insurance information.
  • Obtain necessary patient signatures for consent forms, privacy notices, and other documentation.
  • Collect and document patient messages for weekend providers and ensure timely communication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, upholding a professional and friendly atmosphere
