This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives at the bench-building, debugging, and refining complex electromechanical systems, and wants to play a central role in a multidisciplinary R&D and Manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of complex electrical subsystems, from schematic capture and PCB layout through lab-based bring-up, debug, and system integration.
  • Own prototype assembly, functional testing, and iterative hardware validation with direct hands-on involvement.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and clinical engineering teams to ensure electrical designs meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
  • Design and implement solutions for power distribution, analog/digital signal processing, motor control, and system communications.
  • Develop and execute test plans for board-level and system-level validation, including custom fixture development and test automation where applicable.
  • Support EMC, safety, and regulatory pre-compliance testing (IEC 60601, ISO 13485), and assist in risk mitigation and root cause analysis.
  • Select and qualify electrical components and contribute to DFM/DFT efforts with manufacturing partners.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in debugging, test methodology, and documentation.
