We are seeking a highly strategic and connected Vice President of Business Development to lead growth initiatives focused on delivering power infrastructure solutions to hyperscale cloud providers and data center developers. This individual will play a key role in shaping how the industry meets skyrocketing power demands driven by AI workloads, helping customers secure, scale, and optimize power access at speed.
The ideal candidate is someone with deep relationships in the data center, and energy ecosystems, and a track record of structuring and executing complex commercial partnerships.
Lead strategic business development efforts with hyperscalers and data center developers seeking accelerated access to power for new and expanding sites.
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers in real estate, infrastructure, energy procurement, and sustainability teams.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with customer demand for rapid, high-capacity, and sustainable power solutions.
Identify partnership opportunities across transmission, generation, and distributed energy resources (DERs) to help customers meet capacity and sustainability goals.
Structure and negotiate commercial agreements including site development partnerships, long-term power delivery contracts, and joint ventures.
Serve as a key voice in market positioning, customer feedback loops, and product strategy with internal stakeholders.
Monitor trends in data center energy needs, regional permitting/interconnection timelines, and innovations in grid and off-grid power delivery.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and direct engagements with strategic customers.
10–15+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership roles within data centers, infrastructure, energy, or utilities.
Strong existing relationships with major hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta) and large data center developers.
Deep understanding of data center site development, energy procurement, interconnection processes, and power infrastructure planning.
Demonstrated success in closing complex, multi-stakeholder commercial deals.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive relationship management skills.
Knowledge of AI infrastructure and how it is driving shifts in data center design and power demand is a strong plus.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
