Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Analyst will be responsible for analyzing a variety of accounting data to assist in the application of financial data and information to management. Responsibilities include completing functions of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Transactions, auditing data for accuracy, and preparing timely financial reports. The role also involves estimating expenditures, reimbursements, and revenues; advising management on forecasted expenditures; identifying trends; maintaining accounting controls; diagnosing and resolving system problems; gathering and analyzing year-end accruals to ensure compliance with GAAP; and other related duties. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for daily tasks.

The work environment is primarily in a standard office setting with artificial lighting and climate control. Activities involve sitting for extended periods, bending, turning the neck, pushing and pulling file drawers, moving bank boxes up to 25 pounds, and operating standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, and telephones. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
