Shipping Clerk. Job Location: Sonoma, CA - Pay Rate: $22.50/hr. Job Type: Temporary. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm. Description of Position:Our client in Sonoma is looking for a Shipping and Packaging Clerk to join their team. This is a temporary 6-week project and will become a permanent job for the right person. There is room for growth in this company. Responsibilities:Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Handle incoming and outgoing shipments by checking them physically. Check products for defects and accuracy. Ensure posting of outbound deliveries using pre-designated software. Handle packaging procedures to ensure safety of shipment.
