$250,000 – $300,000 + Equity + Bonus

We're partnering with a high-growth, venture-backed SaaS company that is reshaping how enterprises leverage predictive intelligence. With a mission to make machine learning scalable and actionable across industries, they're now hiring a Director of Machine Learning to lead strategy, architecture, and implementation of core ML initiatives.


THE ROLE

As Director of Machine Learning, you'll be responsible for driving the end-to-end development and deployment of ML models used across multiple product lines. This is a high-impact leadership role that blends hands-on technical oversight with cross-functional influence. You'll lead a team of ML engineers and data scientists to shape the company's long-term AI vision.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and lead the machine learning strategy across product and infrastructure
  • Architect scalable ML systems and oversee model development, evaluation, and deployment
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Executive teams to align ML efforts with business goals
  • Grow and mentor a team of high-performing machine learning engineers and data scientists
  • Own the roadmap for ML experimentation, automation, and productionization
  • Ensure models are explainable, monitored, and compliant with data privacy regulations
  • Stay ahead of new technologies and bring innovative thinking to the organization

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of experience in machine learning or applied data science, with at least 3 years in leadership roles
  • Strong experience deploying models into production (real-time and batch)
  • Expertise in Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Vertex AI, or similar)
  • Deep understanding of model lifecycle management, feature engineering, and MLOps
  • Track record of building and scaling ML teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • $250,000 – $300,000 base salary
