Job Summary:
This position is for a Phlebotomist in an acute care hospital setting. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, preparing samples for testing, and ensuring accurate labeling and handling of specimens. The role requires adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining a high level of accuracy. Experience with electronic health records (Epic and Beaker preferred) is highly desirable. Floating to sister facilities is a possibility.

Responsibilities:
- Drawing blood samples from patients accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing and labeling blood samples according to established protocols.
- Maintaining accurate records of specimens collected.
- Adhering to strict infection control and safety guidelines.
- Utilizing electronic health records (Epic and Beaker preferred).
- Potential to float to sister facilities.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license in California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred, but first-time travelers will be screened.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Epic and Beaker electronic health record systems.
Special Considerations:
- Potential to float between units and sister facilities.
- Guaranteed hours, but the facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period.
- RTO (Return to Office) must be included at time of submission.
