Join to apply for the Project Engineer role at STO Building Group .Job DescriptionThe Project Engineer assists Project Managers to ensure that work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements.ResponsibilitiesReview project plans, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals to ensure compliance and accuracy.Evaluate plans for value analysis and constructability; communicate inconsistencies to architects.Recommend cost-saving measures and efficiencies in construction processes.Attend and document project meetings; distribute minutes accordingly.Prepare and follow up on weekly progress reports and project schedules.Assist in bidding processes and scope development for trade contractors.Coordinate with superintendents on project timelines, shop drawings, and milestones.Maintain logs for shop drawings, clarifications, and change requests.Advise on procedures for concrete pours and inspect structural reinforcements.Coordinate testing to verify compliance with specifications.Review field procedures and final installations for quality assurance.Analyze work methods to suggest improvements for efficiency.Adhere to all safety policies and report unsafe activities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.Strong communication skills, both written and oral.Proficiency in Word and Excel; familiarity with scheduling programs preferred.Ability to read blueprints and understand safety requirements.Problem-solving skills and adaptability.One year of field experience preferred.Basic Spanish command understanding is a plus.Additional InformationThe salary range is $75,000 to $97,000, with eligibility for a target bonus.
