Assistant Restaurant Manager at one of Los Angeles's most prestigious 5-Star properties.
In this pivotal role, you'll be more than just a manager; you'll be a leader, a mentor, and a key player in shaping unforgettable moments for our discerning guests. You'll leverage your expertise in staff training, management, and food service to ensure seamless daily operations and maintain the impeccable standards that define our establishment.
What You'll Do:
- Lead with Passion: Inspire and motivate our team to deliver exceptional service, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Craft Culinary Experiences: Oversee and elevate our banquet food and beverage offerings, from menu planning to flawless execution, ensuring every event is a masterpiece.
- Master the Details: Utilize your premium skills in inventory control, fine dining service, and restaurant management to optimize efficiency and maintain our commitment to quality.
- Elevate Every Moment: Proactively handle guest inquiries and concerns, turning challenges into opportunities to exceed expectations.
- Drive Excellence: Monitor employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and enforce our rigorous Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards.
- Be a Versatile Leader: Assist in supervising daily shift operations, stepping in to manage the restaurant and related areas in the absence of the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager.
- Ensure Operational Harmony: Guarantee that all team members have the necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms to perform at their best.
- Champion Communication: Serve as a vital link between the kitchen and the front of house, communicating effectively with the Chef and Restaurant Manager regarding food quality and service levels.
- Uphold Our Standards: Ensure strict adherence to all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures, including responsible alcohol beverage service.
- Support the Team: Assist servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods and high-demand times.
- Optimize Staffing: Supervise staffing levels to balance exceptional guest service, operational needs, and financial goals.
What You'll Bring:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or Manager in a fine dining restaurant or 4-5 star hotel environment, with a proven track record in catering events and banquets.
- A significant plus: Experience in a 5-Star hotel setting.
- Proficiency in MICROS and OpenTable.
- Current ServSafe and TIPS certifications.
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role (pushing/pulling up to 30lbs constantly; lifting/carrying up to 30lbs constantly).
- Bonus points for skills in catering, barista experience, and casual dining.
