Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering, with experience in the defense/aerospace industry, to join our team.

The role is responsible for engineering management, engineering work in operations and/or production, or maintenance environments. Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

*We are on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days). This is a full-time on-site position.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems, as well as improve and maintain current systems or create new projects.

• Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.

• Recommend operational plans with direct impact on results.

• Communicate with senior leadership on strategic matters, including constructing and presenting status briefings on technical challenges.

• Collaborate with third-party resources, site leadership, and other departments to provide comprehensive solutions for operations, production, or maintenance issues related to local production or test failures.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred (Engineering), or equivalent combination of relevant education & experience.
• 5-7 years of experience.
• Leadership skills, ability to foster teamwork.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Technical expertise in relevant engineering disciplines.
