Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering, with experience in the defense/aerospace industry, to join our team.

The role is responsible for engineering management, engineering work in operations and/or production, or maintenance environments. Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

We are on a 9/80 schedule (9-hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, with the other Fridays being 8-hour days). This is a full-time on-site position.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, develops, and evaluates systems, as well as improving and maintaining current systems or creating new projects.
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
  • Recommends operational plans with a direct impact on results.
  • Communicates with senior leadership on strategic matters, including constructing and presenting status briefings on technical challenges.
  • Collaborates with third-party resources, site leadership, and other departments to develop comprehensive solutions for operations, production, or maintenance issues related to local production or test failures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience.
  • Leadership skills and ability to foster teamwork.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical expertise.

Pay Range (USD)

$103,642 - $192,478

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.

Additional Compensation

Hired applicants may be eligible to participate in the company's Gain Sharing Program.
