Job Description

To support customers with (but not limited to) Amada Punch Presses in the Central Valley, CA territory. This includes installation, service, operational training, networking, programming training, software training, application training, and laser automation training. The duties also include performing similar functions for Punch Press and combination machines, including automated material loading/unloading machines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
2. Able to follow layout drawings and blueprints used in equipment installation accurately.
3. Complete daily service reports and weekly expense reports.
4. Communicate effectively in English.
5. Maintain excellent customer relations and follow through on commitments.
6. Manage the entire equipment installation process at the customer site, including use of hand tools, climbing, bending, and stooping.
7. Operate, apply, and train customers on software and part programming, including Amada applications used in line control and programming.
8. Travel regularly within the assigned territory.
9. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum of a 2-year degree with related work experience.

SKILLS:

1. Analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
2. Use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and oscilloscope proficiently.
3. Have working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
4. Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
5. Be accountable and responsible for servicing and supporting customers throughout their ownership of the machine.

TRAVEL:

• Routine travel within the assigned territory with occasional overnight stays.
• Territory: Central Valley, CA

PAY RATE: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
